Barbie: Mariposa and her Butterfly Fairy Friends
Mariposa is a very different fairie than the other butterfly fairies of Flutterfield. Much like The Little Mermaid, Mariposa loves to imagine the wide world she has not seen.
Mariposa is a gentle, loving and caring fairie, but she feels that she belongs somewhere else than Flutterfield. Mariposa does not attend parties and balls with the other butterfly fairies and doesnt believe thar she is capable of great things.
Everything change for Mariposa, when the butterfly fairie Queen is poisoned and Mariposas life become a dangerous adventure in search for an antidote.
Mariposa displays sensibility and knowledge while leading the adventorous party with Rayna and Rayla. The three butterfly fairies face numerous dangers in their quest.
During the adventure, Mariposa also encounter and please a creature known as the fairy of the Cave who beautifies Mariposas wings by enlarging them, darkening them, and giving them a lovely, sparkling glow.
As the adventure come to an end, Mariposa find faith in herself, and believe that, despite her love of the world outside, she does belong in Flutterfield with the other butterfly fairies..
Mariposa has a very special relationship with the butterfly fairie Prince: Prince Carlos.
They share a number of interests and, in their first meeting, find that they have been reading and enjoying the same book.
